Default Edinburgh Zoo

Am planning a trip to Edinburgh for a weekend with the OH.. has anyone been to the zoo there and can tell me if it's any good? Haven't really heard anything about it.

Zoo is still good. If weather is good you might get to see the penguin walk - they let the larger penguins come out of the exhibit and wander along the path. If you're lucky one might bite your shoe laces or something. Do they still do that though?
Lions are still good. Unsure if the tigers are back - they had loads of cubs. The Rhino and Pygmy Hippos are world renound I think.
I always enjoy the birds area. Tucked away, always quiet except the birds.

wouldn't waste your money. go to paignton or marwell. i spent 24 hours on a bus to get down there first time but they were both worth every second!
