Evolution reptile shop very poor service

I placed an order for 5 breeder boxes on sunday night to be posted to me via courier to arrive on tuesday.

On tuesday the package arrived but it only contained 2 breeder boxes with no explanation regarding the balance of my order yet they still charged my credit card for all 5.

After contacting them they promised to send them out on wednesday via courier but they did not arrive and they are now ignoring my emails and not answering the phone.

Has anyone else had dealings with this company

hi i've ordered from there and never had a problem with them. i also know the owner personally and no he'd never mess you about on perpouse!!!
hope it gets worked out soon but he is a top bloke so sure it will.

What really annoys me is that i bought 5 exo terra faunariums on ebay from another supplier 3 weeks ago and paid £8.95 for next day delivery.

After being mucked about for 2 weeks waiting for this ebay order they said it had been damaged by the courier company and they would refund me.

On checking his feedback it seems he has loads of comments regarding slow despatch of items or things lost in post.

I then decided to try evolution reptiles as i had seen them posting on this forum.

I needed these for the leopard gecko babies i am collecting from the barking show tomorrow so i went online on sunday evening to place an order with evolution reptiles instead of my normal source which is pet zoo.

They charged my credit card for all 5 but then sent me just 2 with no explanation so at the moment i am £30.00 out of pocket.

Yet again i have been let down and i now have to find another 3 breeder boxes by tomorrow.

If you are this guy is pretty sound, only lives down the road from me. Don't know about his service yet but have talked to him and he is quick to reply to your emails. And I am thinking about getting some conticos from him.

Alot of small businesses would rather take your money and let you wait than just explain and offer your money back or give you an option to wait.

It makes sense really.

They say the lees breeder boxes are no longer made so they could only send 2 but my problem is why not explain this via email or on the packing slip as they gave me no details regarding the rest of my order but took full payment .

All i am asking is for them to keep me informed but they are failing to reply to emails and there phone goes to the orange answerphone sevice.

yeah mate i understand. I ordered something recently off ebay and a couple of weeks it hadnt arrived.

It turned out in the end that they couldnt get hold of any and were selling stock they didnt have.
I got an apology and a full refund. It wasnt a 'time critical' item but its the way alot of smaller businesses run.
They will always have problems from time to time.
Can you not get down to staples? They always seem to have all the boxes i need
