Problem is that there are distinctly some councils that we see shops in that area being complained about.. and it seems apparent that some licensing departments are stricter than others. Without a centralised licensing department - it will continue that some parts of the country are strict, whilst others don't seem to give a damn. Which is great if you live in certain areas... not so good in others.

very true,but thats also life...unfortunatly
and it really doesnt take long for a shop to get a bad wrap either putting them out of bussness, trouble with that tho is they start up again with diff name,
there seem to be alot of people with a little knowledge, going into shops see something they dont like or should be cleaned at there say so!! then if not done immedatley ,then come on to the forums and complain ,call shops to closed etc

dont get me wrong i ve seen shops/private breeders that do need to pull there socks up so to speak

how many shop owner's get feedup with it,hearing a customer point out something wrong,....but the good shops will do something about there an then if poss, and wont have the attuide of "yeah, yeah we deal with it"

( This is not aimed at anybody or this forum thanks)

The forum can be the worst place for it as it is like a kangaroo court at times people will jump on the band wagon ( weather been to that shop or not )and slate that shop guilty or not and they have no idea what damage is been caused at all. Also the problem is nobody has any idea who you are a child or adult.

And Yes this does make a difference .

All this is my view if you agree thanks if not tuff still my view
Yes too many witch hunts and band wagons imo too.

I agree with tougher licensing too, and it needs to be regulated, too many loons and men in suits hold pet shop licenses.

I think its morally wrong too, why should we be able to take away the freedom of a wild animal for our pleasure only? Its wrong imo. Its not going to stop me though, i love keeping snakes, my snakes are happy, healthy and safe so i dont care if its immoral
