I started out with reptiles so many years ago I think my first reptile was a dinosaur. I got two small Anolis segrei from a dumb store and banged them in a small glass tank I had bought with sand and a lamp. They did ok but after reading my dad told me they would have to climb. Me having no money, my dad took me to a diy store and we bought some stuff and we made a uge tank for them.

Ever since I have been making my own stuff, like vivs, incubators, misting machinens and rainmakers and more. I got to know the places where to get cheap stuff or figoured out that byou do not have to get brand name lights or pumps.

I know a few people who swear by a brand name, me...just get me what I need and if it does the job.. that is all that matters.

So I am mad or can you create a good working viv with out spending half a ton in cash?

Youre totally right - theres a thread here http://www.reptileforums.co.uk/habit...emade-viv.html where people have posted their DIY vivs, and there are some great pics! We dont buy any premade vivs anymore, as all of ours are getting so huge - theyre all custom builds, and cost between 1/3-1/2 of normal premade prices.
