I've taken my king to the vets on the bus a few times. First I used a pillowcase shoved inside my coat to keep him warm... I figured the easiest thing to do was pretend to be pregnant. But when I went into a shop to buy a drink the king decided enough was enough and he wanted out, so he started sticking his head into the side of the case. It must have looked like a scene out of Alien, the newsagent looked terrified that my baby was apparently trying to kick its way out of my stomach. That was pretty funny.

The second time I stuck him in my handbag with lots of newspaper for insulation. Only of course I had to leave the zip open a bit to let the air in, and he kept sticking his head out... this kid noticed and was like "MUM SHE HAS A SNAKE IN HER BAG" and the mum told her off for being stupid.

The snake will be fine aslong as the journey isn't really long and it doesn't get too cold.

I may now have to adopt this method for Basildon.
I'll be so paranoid if I do.
