Steve Irwin Day (Steve Irwin Day - November 15)

Crikey folks we are only 3 weeks out from the big day, Steve Irwin Day. We hope you have been preparing for your Backyard Camp-out or your Khaki Day or even both. Don’t forget to let everyone you know about your event so that the whole world can join in on this momentous day celebrating Steve's Life. Let's not forget about Australia Zoo. This is going to be one of the biggest promotional days in the Zoo's 30+ years of history. We have so much going on at Australia Zoo for Steve Irwin
Day this will be a day not to missed and never to be forgotten by anyone who attends Australia Zoo on 15 November.


Backyard Camp-out
It doesn't matter what sort of backyard you have - you can still camp-out. Hang a hammock on your veranda, pitch a tent in the backyard, ask your class and school to camp out on the oval.

Khaki Day
We can't think of a better way to salute Steve Irwin – the Crocodile Hunter and the original Wildlife Warrior – than by wearing khaki on Steve Irwin Day, 15 November 2007.
Australia Zoo Events
Two of the biggest international names in entertainment are coming to Australia Zoo. Jimmy Barnes and Olivia Newton-John will perform LIVE! on the day in the Animal Planet Crocoseum.


On top of that there will be DIY Classes on how to build bird feeders, bird boxes and possum boxes. We will have Croc jumping classes with our very own Briano, Khaki fashion parades, Billy tea and damper workshops, tent pitching competitions and much much more.

Steve Irwin Classic
This will be an awesome event and we pledge anyone in the local area to get involved with the Steve Irwin Classic. Being held over 16 & 17 of November, there will be a stack of awesome activities which will feature many of the things Steve loved, especially surfing.

The Steve Irwin Classic will include the Crikey Cup; a golfing tournament, surfing competition, surfers paddle out, beach concert and a Gala dinner.
