Default What are the countries forbidding their wild fauna exports?

I'm trying to make a list of countries prohobiting the trade and export of their own herp fauna to other countries.I have only 2 at the moment,Australia and New Zealand in which the prohibition covers the whloe herp species of their territory.Do you know other countries in which similar regulations apply?

madagascar have closed thier boarders for the next 3 years. i believe they alternate 3 years closed 2 years open and have done so for the last 30 years or so. this means that youll have fun trying to get hold of leaftails and any of the rarer phelsuma species in the next 3 years.

australia have a permenant ban on exporting of thier native fauna. it is incredibly difficult to leagally get any animals out of australia. generally it is only in exceptional circumstances (i.e if your a zoo, or reseach project that directly benefits the animals) that they will consider an export permit and that is after you have been able to stump up the however many thousand australian dollars neccesary for the permit. this is why with the exception of beardies that are bread in large numbers most of the australien species (e.g geckos of the genus nephrurs) tend to be very expensive as they are thin on the ground in the captive hobby.
