Default Uv-b Lighting

Right I know that ya supposed to change the UV light some say 6 month some say 12 month but iv got this UV light here in my hands made by HOBBY the quality of the bulb looks good and well packed but the info on the side says - service life of over 15,000 hours
So at 10 hours aday thats 1500 days = 4 years or is this misleading

Without testing the lamp, I do find that a little far-fetched, I don't think they have been on the market long enough to make that kind of claim, (could be mistaken though). I wondr if they mean the UVB output is good for 15000 hours or just the light itself?

i must say i currently use them and they are great. personally i would change it after 11-12 months, they have quite a rate of decay when compared with others like powersun and megaray... they are however better than powersuns in my opinion and they are also inexpensive.
