When we used to take the car , from Brighton, it was 44 quid on the tunnel and fuel for about 900 miles, 10 cans of red bull and a box of pro plus

We spend £300 on the stena line hook of holland crossing and cabin return for 4 people, and £80 petrol (4 hours to ferry, 3 hours to hamm, so 14 hours driving for the petrol), so it's £380 total but £95pp and it includes 2 nights in a cabin We worked out the cost of going the cheaper tunnel with a longer drive, a lot cheaper - but if you add 2 nights b&b for 4 people then it's more.. so depends if you can do it all in one day. I get really car sick so I love the long overnight ferry

It doesn't actually cost me that much, we go stena line because you can use tesco clubcard points to pay for the ferry crossing (£300 = £75 of clubcard deals vouchers) which me and my mum pool and can afford it twice a year from our tesco shopping.

If petrol prices keep rising the way they did in the past few months, come march and it might cost a grand in petrol to get there

mines about 1100-1200 miles at about 140 quid now, chunnel about 55.. so if you dont buy food and drink, and a few of you go, then its quite cheap.

the thing you have to consider is how much things cost here and the potential to save alot of money in the EU when buying reps. also if your selling it's defo worth it!!!
It probably costs us;

1000 miles petrol, £150 (diesel)
Tunnel, £55
Hotel, £55

Plus food and things

=about £300 roughly
