I'm asking because in the next few weeks we've got to have our electric cut off while our supply is re-routed from overhead cables to underground - hopefully the work will be done first so that the actual cut will be as short as possible while the old supply is removed and the new ones connected.
But what do I do about keeping our 2 lizards warm - baby beardie (currently about 10 weeks old) and adult fat tail gecko?? No I haven't got friendly neighbours I can leave them with
And when we do get unplanned power cuts - as we do sometimes in bad weather - what then??
Cant you get a chargeable backup generator, im sure ive seen them around? I know its kind of the extreem but if you have a fair few herps and are serious and you get power cuts a lot it might be a good investment.
We've had no power at our house since last thursday...
We've got a diesel generator, costs about £20 a day on fuel, but it runs all our lights, the tv, and most importantly the reptiles and fish tanks.
It's been a total nightmare with us having to have our lawn ripped up today to lay a new cable down tomorrow for the electrician to come and install properly.
