Default Ventilating RUB's

Well the royal I'll be getting tomorrow is going into a RUB & was just wondering how you guys make breathing holes in yours?

The other tubs I've got are just cheapo ones from the range so I burnt holes in them as I wasn't too bothered how they looked [got black marks around the holes]. But I eventually would like to build a rack containing different sized RUB's. So would like it to look pretty nicely done.

I was going to drill hols in but wouldn't the tub crack?

Thanks

If you place a piece of wood on the other side of the tub (so you drill through the tub into the wood) it shouldnt crack.

I dont drill any of mine though (because I would ruin them!) - I bought a cheap soldering iron from B&Q and melted the holes. It didnt leave black marks, just went through and left a nice melted hole with no sharp edges.

I do mine outside! Unless you fancy getting high, I would at least open a few windows

we drill ours and only had one hole crack... should be fine if you use a piece of wood behind it

my rubs are like a soft plastic so they do not crack when you drill holes in them. if you start of drilling slowly and not applying much preasure you should be fine

haha it's cold outside lol

but gonna do the next lot in the garage.. there's plug sockets in there

when i did drill them (have carpal tunnel, which is getting worse, so i had to find a different way of doing it) i just had the drill on a low speed, and did it gently... and i only cracked one... and that was cuz i pressed too hard!
