good points guys....and do you think that there is to many shops out there or is there an urgent need for more shops? (well good shops anyway)

there's quite a few shops around i think, but i think we need that to find good ones and have a good selection to choose from

I think that cleanliness and well being of the animals is the most important. As other people have said knowledge and approachability of the staff is also very important.
One thing that does annoy me in alot of shops is that the price of all their equipment is soooo expensive. I hate feeling ripped off and it seems like a lot of the time shops sell all their equipment at really over inflated prices. It seems like a really cynical bid to screw as much money out of people as possible, so when people come in and 'fall in love' with an animal and want it there and then, they have no option but to pay above the odds to get the equipment from the shop.

1. friendly and knowlegeable staff
2. close to where I live
3. must sell nice boa locales and boa morphs
4. good prices
