Take a look here:

Live Animals

Or here

http://www.defra.gov.uk/animalh/welf...nsport-air.pdf

This may help a bit, you may need to trawl through alot of info, or you can contact someone.

If you bothered to read that, what does it say about live animals going on the plane which is all that really matters in this thread ?

By the way, when I took a dangerous goods course a couple of years ago, the teacher told us about a case of a lady who took a squirrel into a domestic flight in the US, and she was told to no matter what happened, she was not allowed to open the box on the plane.

Guess what, half way through the flight, she felt an urge to check on him, and the bugger escaped. Ran through the aircraft creating havoc, the squirrel could not be captured, and somehow it ended up in the cargo area where it chewed through loads of cables and parts.

The airplane had to be completely re-wired causing a loss of around 1 million US dollars.

I don't think a snake would have caused any damage, but there are people with proper fear of snakes, and you'd not want to experience that at 33 thousand feet high.
