Default Working out %'s

Im hopefully going to be getting a trio of royals in the not too distant future. I've managed to pick of trio which i like the looks of to start with but also know i could get some nice results from them.

The trio is...

1.0 Lesser Plat
0.1 Pinstripe
0.1 Mojave

What im wondering is how do i work out what the chances/percentages are going to be for their eggs?

If someone has the time to work it out for me then please do, otherwise i dont mind doing a bit of reading and try to get my own head around it. I just need some links that explain these percentages.

Ta,
Gary.

Well, a Lesser Platinum is "het for lesser". So any offspring it has has a 50% chance of inheriting the Lesser Platinum gene.

A Mojave is "het for mojave". Any offspring it has have a 50% chance of inheriting the Mojave gene.

Lesser and Mojave are both flavours of the same gene as far as any breeding trials have shown thus far.

Most Pinstripes are "het for pinstripe". Any offspring they have have a 50% chance of inheriting the Pinstripe gene.

Therefore, you're looking at combinations of 50% and 50% - which gives a 25% / 25% / 25% / 25% split across the board for both crosses.

Lesser to Pinstripe:
25% chance of normals who do not carry either gene.
25% chance of pinstripes that do not carry lesser.
25% chance of lessers that do not carry Pinstripe
25% chance of Lesser Pinstripes (AKA "Kingpins") - and these kingpins can produce more kingpins if bred to a normal.

Lesser to Mojave:
25% chance of normals that do not carry either gene
25% chance of Lessers that do not carry Mojave
25% chance of Mojaves that do not carry Lesser
25% chance of Lesser Mojaves (AKA "Blue Eyed Leucistic") - and these BluELs will produce EITHER Mojaves OR Lessers if bred to a Normal.

You made that sound so simple

I think maybe i have confused myself by attempting to read up on some of the more complicated scenarios involving numerous resessive traits. I then started to think it was all going to be that complicated.

Maybe ill start my genetics learning all over again...this time from the beginning!!

Thanks again
