The expected result is half salmons and half non-salmons (normal coloration). Any or all could show a hogg island influence, though.

Disclaimer: In a small sample like a litter of babies, the actual results may vary from the expected.

Salmon hypo to a normal will give ~50% hypos 50% normals

As a Hogg cross is basically a mongrel bci it can't be labelled as anything except a 'normal/common' and the offspring will be hypos or normals (with a slight browny orange influence from the Hogg grandparent possible)

Cheers

Andy

are you calling my hogg cross a mongrel, how rude, he is lovely! ok cool, i get that one. what if you put a hogg cross to a pure hogg island, all hogg crosses, that look a bit more hogg like?

Yes.

All salmons are hypos, but not all hypos are salmons. I've heard hogg island boas called naturally occurring hypos, but they are not salmons because they do not have the salmon mutant gene. Orangetail hypos may or may not be salmons; the jury is still out. And so on.

so really, bottom line, a salmon is probably gonna make better/prettier babies with my hogg cross, than a pure hogg island? so really a salmon isnt a bad one to put with him, mite get some nice lookers?
thanks for your help.
