Default Breeding royals

I am just starting out breeding royals and my first combination is going to be a male yellowbelly 50% het ghost and a normal female. I know I will get normals and yellow bellys both het ghost but what do people think I should try next to get something different. I am happy to keep some of the babies and grow them on or use any profits to but another morph.
Any input?

You will actually get normals and yellowbellies.

Your male is a *possible* het ghost - there's a 50% chance he is, and a 50% chance he isn't). Therefore, until you prove whether he's het ghost or not (by breeding him to a visual ghost and getting ghost babies - which makes your yellowbelly 100% het ghost) I wouldn't recommend marketing any of his offspring as being even *possible* hets.

I would get a nice female morph that will go well with your Yellowbelly - maybe a pastel, maybe something like a pinstripe - and a female Yellowbelly so you have a shot at Ivory.

Thanks for the input. I will just market any babies as normal rather than het so noone is disappointed.
The other combinations would be cool. Will need to start looking into funds for those and how much I will need.
Am I right in thinking that most breeders work on an average of four eggs per clutch?

clutch size is totally dependant on size of the female
i had a 2.2kg female produce 7 eggs
and a 2.1 kg give me 5 eggs
so get the female as good a size and condition before breeding otherwise you won;t get much form her.

That's sweeping. I've had a female no bigger than 2.2 KG give me 3 eggs where as my season starter 1.7KG female spat out 8.

Russel, Cappa is actually 66% het Orange Ghost As mentioned, you'd need to prove him out with a Ghost girl to make sure but proving out he can help make a few really nice combos.

Pastels het Ghost are very common now. Pairing him and such a female could end you with Pastel Yellowbelly Orange Ghosts.
