monitor mad
Hi all , i now have a group of 4 x adult and 2 x sub- adult Ackies , im currently trying to decide if it's going to be better seperating the male's and introducing them to the females on a 1 to 1 ratio and then back into there respective vivs and again when the females are due to lay seperating the gravid female to a nesting viv to avoid her being stressed by the other females or keeping them in 2 x trio groups , any thoughts ,idea's,experiences appreciated thanks
here are my 6 x Ackies im hopeing to breed

Hiya Buddy cracking pics of quality lil monitors
I have no experiance with breeding Ackies, but I do know taht our good friend Lobley seperates the females into seperate vivs once gravid, so there no stress caused.
I am sure whatever you decide will work matey

I have personally seen mature females attacking those which are gravid so for the sake of your animals i'd make sure that any gravid females aren't kept with the others. It seems like the females are trying to ensure that their babies are the only ones which survive so there is less competition.
