So has anyone on here actually bred them? I was wanting to breed my Jaf Jaf originally but he was my first reptile so I dont want him to get hurt. I think I may buy a 1.1 pair in the future though, keeping them seperate obv, and try to breed them. If I can manage that I think ill get another female or two so that I can breed them on a yearly basis.

i dont no who actually has but i do no they only have like a clutch a year alot people dont as they are appanrantly quite hard to breed from but it is easier ion one way as you dont have to incubate there eggs lol, x

hi, iv just paired mine up, i was scared but thay were fine, iv been told by a friend who breeds them, thay need 2 be 2yrs old to breed, have babies live u need to watch x take straight out or she will eat them .
thay breed every other yr once only in jan feb time, u have to drop temp dwn x in winter x bring it bk up again...
big tub off peat 4inche deep to burrow in.....
some say u cant keep in pairs all time, my friend said his where fine x mine are too
breeding they get bit ruff lol then its ovr....

i just let mine meet in large open room no fighting so poped them in her viv it was fine .

I bred a couple of years back but resulted in slugs, Tiliqua on here has bred BTS for a good few years, he's expecting several more clutches this year, both he & I have got gravid PTS this year, fingers crossed. I'm hoping one of my BTS may also be gravid but I'll have to wait & see.

Why do you think you ended up with slugs? Did you cool them before breeding?

It was an unexpected pregnancy, the BTS in question was assumed/sold (DOH) as being a sub adult male, he briefly spent a couple of weeks sharing a 6' viv with my very docile male. He went into a new tank on his own soon after, a month or so later "he" birthed, she didn't look gravid & had given no signs of being gravid, in hindsight she was probably not sufficently developed to cope with mating with a large male & birthed prematurely, again with hindsight I wasn't experienced enough to probably recognise the signs, was/still am really gutted at what happened.

Hi after a bit of advice i have a male bts and am thinking about breeding from him but am unsure what sub species he is will this be a problem? sry if my question seems a little dumb would be greatful for any advice
