Hi, I am looking to get back into dartfrogs after a two year break ( you never get over the addiction of keeping these guys). My whole collection was wiped out by a virus killing my 3 azureus ,3 aurotaena, 2 vents, 2 oyapoks and a breading group of 5 sipaliwini green form tincs. The wife has told me I can only have one tank so I am going for the 90x45x60cm Exoterra viv.I am looking to heat it an aquarium heater which I hope will also help with the humidity. Also has any one used the Epi Web as a back ground. I would like to include a misting system but I am not sure how I can attach the nozzels to the viv top. I was thinking of keeping a couple of species together, preferably thumbnails such as imitator and tincs or Leucs, has anybody got experience of doing this and is the viv big enough.?

Buddy, wouldn" you be better off with one of the ent style vivs off mark.You then have no probs with mistins ventilation or where to put your heat mat{under false floor].Plus as you have been to mark several times you know they work,regards stu.

Having just joined I might be a bit late for you.
I have an ExoTerra and attatching a misting system is easy by just poking a couple of suitable holes throug the mesh.
The only suitable heating source i`ve found is a Lucky Reptile Jungle Lamp with a 25 watt bulb and a 10 watt waterproof heater mat (for internal use) from Dartfrog for night use, ie if temps go too low.
For the size of tank you want I think its safe to say you will need 2 lamps or you could get one with a hotter bulb, 35 or 50 watts.
I am away to convert my 100 gallon aquarium to a frog tank and I intend using 2 of these lamps for heating, btw they are waterproof.
