so you all have some stunning vivs with amazing plant growth..what lights are you using???

I`m using a Exo Terra Repti Glo 5 and Exo Terra Repti Glo 2

yeah im having a varied success with these an im using a silver sun unit on largest tank with 2 t5s an my broms arent loving it dieing off after a few weeks =[

My bromeliads seem to be doing ok up till now.
I have a couple of common ones from a garden centre which have been in the tank for a year now and are doing very well. A few months back I got some from Dartfog and so far they too seem to be fine.
I have 3 orchids in the tank one of which is thriving with 2 flower stalks one of which nearly reaches the tank roof. The other two are pretty much unchanged from when they were all put in over a year ago.
When I got my frogs originally there was a small vine like plant in their tubs which I just chucked in the tank to see what would happen and it has rooted and started spreading.
I`ve just bought some Kyoto moss spores to see if I can get myself a nice carpet of green moss on the tank floor because i`m away to thin out the plants to make some more viewing space so fingers crossed.

One thing I added recently because I was struggling to get heat into the tank during the day with all the cold weather is a Lucky Reptile Jungle Lamp which uses a small halogen lamp. It boosts the light source and also helps keep the heat more stable and of course its waterproof so can be used with misting systems.
I am not sure if that is helping the plant growth at all.

awesome good times then..yeah most my plants are doing fine just some expensive broms i got off a german site did fine for months but now loseing leaves so mite bump more lights on ay..i tried the mos to took but takes ages to spread tbh..=]

i just use 6500K tubes that you get for S.A.D. or pc working. The plants love it!!
