Still no reply Pamela? I think you know how I done things last year, However I'll share my methods with the world!

I stop feeding a two weeks prior going into Brumation. Which would be half way through October, Say 15th October. I then introduce the snakes into Brumation on November 1st.

Then I warm them back up in March, back to normal after that, Unless breeding is happening!

It's just a bloody pain finding a suitable place to brumate the snakes in the first place.

im breeding my mexis next season and have read differant versions on brumating dates,do you start warming back up on the first of march?If you have any tips or formulas you ould like to share ith me feel free scott.I fed the male last night so wont feed him again but the female did'nt take hers and hasnt fed since the 26/9 but is a very big girl so should i just leave her now and start to lower temps on nov 1st?

Hi Lee,

If your female is in good coniditon, no signs of illness or underweight, I would just introduce you her brumation alike your male. I start lowering the temperature on November 1st, and they then come out of brumation on the March 1st, By this I mean, they go back to their original temp's, And start powering feeding from then on, especially the female.

thanks scott,so you brumate them for 4 months,i thought it was only 3 months brumation,im not questioning your methords just want to make sure i get this right.

Not long to go now...My girlies are starting to get restless.

when i warm mine back up,over what period of time should it be done and what problems can occur by bringing them back up too quickly?
