Hi all ,

ive had my pueblan milk snake for about two weeks now, i call him/her winston i have also got a bosch monitor and a leopard gecko. i know publan milk snakes are very timid and freightend , but winston keeps pooing and weeing on me when im handling is this common? or something i need to sort out ?

Hi i have a pair of sinaloan milks had them for 6 months and its took that long for them to be able to handle them i think they are just very nervous snakes and it just takes time up untill now mine musked all the time i hope as they get older the better they will become of the threads i have read on here its just the type of snake hope yours calms down

Cheers mate , yeh sometimes i can handle my snake and it dont bother but other times it drops it guts , it will calm down as it gets older

A good trick is to hold a piece of kitchen towel as you handle him and just wipe the musk of as you go. When all the musk is gone and he has no more to let go on you he will start to calm down and you can continue to handle him. The older he gets, and the more he is handled, he will start to stop musking!
