Can anyone help?
My genetics was not great at school and baring in mind that was nearly 20 years ago, I'm struggling.

I have recently crossed a Mack Snow Enigma with a Tangerine
I had 2 clutches and upon hatching I got 2 obvious Tangerine Enigma patterns from two of the eggs and what looked to me like a SHTCT and a Normal pattern from the other two.

I thought the enigma gene was dominant? Shouldn't that mean that ALL FOUR of the eggs should have hatched with the Tangerine Enigma phenotype?

Am I missing something obvious? opologiz if I am, it is 4am

well you dont rely know what the perents of the geckos you have were.
so they couldve had a mack snow somewhere in the genes.?

iv got 5 female leo, 1 of which is old and in fertile!
iv got HCT's, hypo's and chocolate albino
the others r still under 24 months old so breeding nxt year with my male hypo!

TheGibbon, Yes Enigmas are a dominant trait, however this means that 50/50 percent of the hatchlings will have the engima gene.
So for a mack enigma x tang you should have got,
Normals with influences of tang, If the tang was hypo then hypo is dominant so some hypo variations
Mack Snows
Enigmas (What you refered to as tang enigmas)
Mack Enigmas,

As for an shtct I wouldn't think so unless the tang had some carrot tail on him/her.
