What is your tortoise called? Also what is the reason behind the name? I have 3 tortoises called amber & archie (I called them these name because I thought they were really cute names!) And my other tortoise George, is named after his previous owner! Please reply! Georgia! XxX

Hello Georgia, my torts are called Marvin and Buster. They are after the names of boxers ... Marvin Hagler and Buster Douglas, my cat is called Roberto after Roberto Duran the boxer!!!!!!

Our Hermanns is called Tinker. We named her that because she is exactly that and is definitely not slow. She is about 5-6yrs old, weighed 550g at beginning of the month when last visited the vets and her shell is 7inches tip to tip. Thanks

Evie was my Mums name - Lillie was my OH Nans name - Honey was already named when we got her and Daisie my OH picked. Evie has since shown his manhood but we have kept the name.

Hi my herman is called Tilly Tom Tom! Not sure if shes a she or he yet, hence the male/female names! Kids decided on her name....

my herman is called pandora .. took ages to pick it but was browsing through names and this one came up .. i thinnk the previous owner called it herman and i thought it was a bit common

I have Sid and Tootsie my 2 adult TGI's and Fidget and Timmy 3.5yr hermans, Sid's a right Sid vicious and Tootsie is as gentle as a lamb, Fidget was named that because he is always on the go and Timmy is a bit shyer and quieter.

I have two Iberan tortoises - a male called Wurtle - named by his previous owner after Wurtle the Turtle (clearly an American book... ) and a female called Bob - i thought she was a boy when she was little, but now I know she's a girl I still call her bob cos it seems to suit her
Wurtle is probably over 40 (he was found on the road by the previous owner's gran 25 years ago and he was already adult sized) and Bob is 11

I have five THB's... two are called Sapphire (Saphie) and Tanzanite (Tanzi) because they're my little gems... one is called Pinky (because she has a pink splodge of nail varnish on her shell, put there by her breeder, and that's what the breeder called her and it sort of suits her). I also have two THB's (dalmation type) who are TT rehomers, they were called Wallace & Gromit when they came to live with us, but have been renamed Lucy and George - Lucy as in 'Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds' (a Beatles song if you don't know) so that follows my gemstone names and George because we separated him from Lucy as he kept 'pestering' her (!) so he was lonesome then (my 13 yo son thought of that one!).
