(was told fruit tree branches are fine from my local rep store),
wood that is used should be cleaned properly but this may be fine - was cleaned.
That's it, I pick up 2 female Rough Green Snakes at the weekend and away we go. I will be introducing the remaining herps over the next 6 months (will give each species a chance to settle).
here you change your mind about the frogs - No I haven't. At that time I was still getting the frogs and the snakes, before I became enlightened..!!
TBH the frogs were an after thought and I only thought of putting them in there because the guy in the local reptile shop suggested it to me, hadn't even thought about them before that...!!!
here you admit the frogs were an afterthought blaming the shop guy and so no research - lol....I still researched it after it was mentioned to me...!! I didn't just go oh well then let's bung them in then ffs...!!!
I have decided not to get the RGS's now as what you say does make sense...And again I have gone on the advice from the local reptile shop there, they said the snakes would be fine with all those etc etc
here you change your mind about the snakes blaming the shop guy - I listened to YOUR advice....!!!
At least I'm the type of guy who actually listens to advice.......
this still remains to be seen. you seem to be listening to advice you like - err, have you not read my posts...!!

I dont now, nor have I ever kept anoles, or geckos...but I know frogs and that viv as it stands just now is not suitable. There cant be any basking areas - I've been down to the shop this morning and bought a cage for the light, heat rocks, or small substrate (like small aquarium stones) - the stones in my viv are buried under 5" of substrate...lol because of impaction...you might find this to be an issue with geckos or anoles, i dont know.....again...I wish you the best in your venture. If you choose to do a communitiy viv I hope you prove the majority of people wrong (including me) for the animals' sake. but I have said my peice and did my best to help... - Thank you

you could cover some of the mesh with something this will incrase the humidity and the air flow wont be massively affected (its quite hard to explian and i'm no teacher)
Thanks for the detailed technical drawings....lol

That's cleared it a little for me....I thought that's what I would have to do (already cut the plastic to fill the rear vent this morning...lol) just wanted to make sure before I went ahead and did it....

Thanks for your help

Definitely anoles, don't know why but think they are great little movers. Can't decide between green tree frogs or day geckos as the other species (going to keep it a 2 for the time being), it depends if i can sort out the humidity or not

Got plenty of time to sort it out any way, no rush....

I am not sure about what you should keep with it. As said previously, frogs would be stressed, but so would the geckos. Competition is another big point, fighting as well.

What are your viv dimensions?

have you thought about putting a glass divider about 1 foot by 2 foot 7-12 inch.then putting a filter in then you got your flowing water you got a big water bowl that will stay clean and you could make it look ace by puttin gravel in the bottom and experiment with diffrent things in it also(possiabley fish of some type if you made the water heated no remarks please as i just giving ideas) also your hmidity will rise.jobs a good one

If I were you I would go with the day geckos as they will be active during the day, same as the anoles and so will give the viv a community look. Frogs will be asleep all day, that is if the very active anoles dont disturb them and stress them out. Go for 3 anoles and 3 geckos and it will be fine. Frogs arent good with lizards as the basking lights can dry them out and kill them, they have a habit of falling asleep anywhere!
