Thankyou for the response, I hear different things about putting beardies on sand but ended up using sand in the end. Some people don't agree with it and others do.
The background and platforms are what i made from polystyrene, it looks more white in the photos than it does real. It's a light stone grey colour which i mixed sand into to give it a rough effect. Unfortunately iv had a few problems with my female beardy recently which im about to add a new post to see if anyone can help. Deep down i think she is pregnant but hopefully a more experienced member than myself can confirm or deny it.

I can't add to my post or edit so im sorry for double posting. It looks like im going to be building another viv similar for a backup. Im about 90% sure that my female beardy is pregnant and the need for another viv has been added.
I gave them both a bath earlier and thought id share a photo with you all as i thought it was quite romantic lol ![]()

Howdy
,Can I ask how old your beardies are? It is suggested housing dragons together a bad idea, like substrate there are conflicting opinions. I personally would not house two together as the negative risk greater outweighs the postive. Can you feel eggs at all, you can often feel them if you gently touch the beardies belly. If she is gravid I would definately separate them as it will be more than likely your male will harrass your female and stress her out. He may even already be dominating her. When she is due to lay you will need a lay box to place her in. Babies need alot of room/care and food so if you plan on having them, good luck!!Regards, Jackie. |

Hi Jackie,
my beardies are what i believe 9 and half months old but thats an estimate. I can indeed feel small bludges when i feel her stomach. Iv got everything else lined up ready now, i will be sorting an incubator out tomorrow morning and if it's not needed i will still have one for when it is. My friends got a spare fishtank which he used to house his baby beardies so i can use that for a temporary establishment but thats still not needed for a while Regards
