Default New Crestie set up (pic heavy)

Got Fudge's new home all finished today. Heres some pics at various stages and the end result.

Gonna create some more places for him to hide during the day but apart from that is pretty much finished. May add a few smaller plants to the back walls and the bottom depending on how it does for the next few months. May also get a few small bromeliads to put into the vine and the cork piece at the back. Plus have some moss that needs time to establish and will start spreading over the substrate and up the coco panels (hopefully).

Got little critters in there to help keep everything clean and tidy. Can barely see the springtails but every now and then spot a tropical woodlouse doing his rounds.

Not too sure how well it's gonna go. If it all goes pete tong I'll just change it around to a semi natural set up...

Am using one 5.0 UV at the moment but that will be changed to 2 2.0 UV's next week to cover the whole set up . This is my first go at this sorta thing and am really pleased how it has turned out.

Will try and grab some snaps of the little dude after work.

Thanks

Gonna try and get some snaps of him tonight after work if he's being photogenic. All these climbing opportunities and he will probably just sit on the glass all night.

You've done a great job, Fudge is one lucky lad, who seems to keep getting better looking!

Default my first crestie viv

Hi this is my first post although been into reps for many years heres my new crestie viv set up a mix of live and fake plants.

Cresties seem to love it. Female is hiding on left hand side and i will post my gorgeous male pic when i work out how to get pic off my phone.

Its the first pair of crestie i have owned and i cant believe its taken me so long to realise how great they are! My Male * spike * has so much character he even rivals my beardies they didnt look at me the way spike does

first picture so hope it works (followed instructions on here very straight forward me hopes !!)

Nice looking set up. Im gonna get a few more plants for mine just so there is more cover for him in the day.

One word of advice if you are keeping the male and female together all the time keep a very close eye on the female. These guys will breed no matter what. Just make sure your female is eating, not losing weight, looks alert, not always hiding away etc. May be worth getting another female and keep them in a trio.
