toughened glass shatters into little piece. pus stop glass is toughened. get laminated glass or even better thick acrylic and use some epoxy resin on top to stop scratches

hmm dont like this idea i had a fish tank in a coffee table!

i hid all the wires inside one of the table legs mate if you were wondering by the way

however my main concerns are having are the sides glass plus the roof.

take it the your lid is going to be the top of the coffee table and not sliding glass which is commonly used?

one of the reasons i got rid of my fish tank coffee table was because they are animals not a part of the furniture!! you wouldnt sit on your viv to play the xbox would you!? so why have a table your going to put your feet up on, dirty plates after tea, cups of tea coffee etc.

just a few things to think about, espesh with a snake which is stressed easily! have a think

yes the lid was going to be a point of entry but also was going to have at least 1 set of glass sliding doors

i think its an awfull idea mate, no offence. snakes are easily stressed animals and you may understand that and be "gentle" with the coffee table but other people wont know.

i dont think your thinking of the walefare of your animal here.
