Default Vents & Cutting Vents

Where is the best place to pick up vents? What sort of size & how many would you fit in a 6x4x3 (H,L,W) & where in the viv would you pleace them?
Do you use any specialist tools to cut the area for the vent?

Cheers

Hi,

Screwfix do Soffit vents really cheap, all you need is a ø70mm hole cutting tool.

yeah I'd check screwfix also for the holesaw (remember your large circular cutter needs an arbor as well to attach it to the drill)

not sure what the web link for it is, but its page 754 of their current catalogue, prices from £1.99 for the holesaw (dependant on size, a 70mm one would be £5.49) and £2.99 for the arbor. I'd also say that I'd go for a cheap one like that for occasional use, a better quality one if your going to be doing it alot

Lou: hehe Starrets still going strong? I done my work experience with them years ago when I was at school up in sunny scotland

yeah Stu, and theyre blinding.... we love em! We have used the cheapy vents from screwfix, infact we have probably tried every vent on the market, most are flimsy, and quite brittle.....the new ones we use, we have found to be the best quality, and a good price too, plus with the added benefit of having feet to lock into place.

Thanks for everyone's advice. I'm going to be contacting Lou as I'm not to far away & she appears to have other things I'm in need of as well.

Thanks
