digital thermometers

this maybe a really stupid question but i thought i would ask b4 i went and bought it but are they the same as the ones that you can get to go in a fish tank to take the temp of the water or are thye special ones for reptiles?

nah not special ones. You can use ones for fish tanks. I got some cheap ones from ebay and they work fine.

cheers babe ur a star i was just looking on ebay aswell i was thinking of getting everything together that i need and start making my own fake walls and my other half wants to build a new viv for the leo's so we are gunna kit the new one out with everything

there arent silly questions, just silly people who dont ask questions

a lot of the digital thermometer's (the ones with the probe on the cable and digital display ) are actually aquarium models rebranded as reptile ones, but thier essentially the same and can be used as such, ebay is digi thermometer heaven

I just got some new digital thermometer's and these ones moniter the heat and light...so you can set the light to be on for 1 hour or up to 12 hours aday.
