Hi all, i'm prparing to rebuild my viv that i built many years ago to keep a frilly in, i now have a pair of very small an cute aussie water dragons and want something much much bigger than the exo terra they currrently in...
Problem is i always struggled to keep the viv hot, esepcially during cooler weather as i'm a bit prone to liking a house colder than most humans i know (sat writing this in sleeveless tee as we speak..) So i'm looking at various options to keep the heat in the viv when it's built, I will psot some pis when assembled but basically it is (6)5ft tall 3 ft wide 2 foot deep. It has big glass doors on the front. The back panel is thin and will be replaced, the rest is white melamine. I plan to kit it out to be a lot more visual than last time, plants, creepers and the like. Iconsidered covering it or double walling it using foil insulation such as this Loft Insulation 600mm x 7.5m - Screwfix.com, Where the Trade Buys I was also thinking of creating a under floor chamber in the space beneath and fitting one of these to bottom heat the tank. The cavity would be vented to allow heat to rise as convection current therough the tank Creda Suntube 120W Tube Convector Commercial Heater - Screwfix.com, Where the Trade Buys Anyone any thoughts ideas on making heating that heats the tank not the house?
