Default fake walls and hides

IF ANYONE KNOWS HOW TO MAKE THESE PICS SMALLER PLEASE FEEL FREE I THINK THEY ARE A LICKLE TO BIG LOL AND IM NOT SURE HOW TO MAKE THEM SMALLER SORRY

after much a hell of a lot of thinking about making these fake walls me and the other half decided in giving it a go,
after a trip to b & q we started.Baring in mind this is a totallly new thing for us and its our first time in doing something like this ive got no idea if we are doing it right, so any comments or instructions on how to do different parts would be greatly appreciated

We started hacking at the polystyrene and made one hell of a mess on my bedroom carpet

after cutting out various shapes i stuck them together with toothpicks to hold them in place then put no more nails glue on each bit insuring they would stick together properly

all stuck together now and just waiting for them to dry so i can cover it in grout i just hope it works. That was my attempt and will keep you informed in how its going.
This is my parnters first time attempt

looks good so far, it does get easier as the constuction goes along so don't worry

just make things easy for yourself, don't put to much detail into them as it will be harder to grout

give it a good 4 coats of grout until the contruction is solid

then seal it all with some PVA glue

here is some of mine

unfortunately these things cant be rushed, i applied a layer of grout then left it to dry over night,

in total it took me over a week to get them finished, but the good thing is the structures were solid!!!

leaving them to dry out properly was the best method, and it makes it easier, applying wet grout to wet grout is hard work, applying wet grout to dry grout is great

Hi Anna2008
I can see my build in one of your photos
I have just finished mine.
Your build is looking good so far,my advice take your time.
It has taken me about 4 weeks to complete this and i am still gonna wait a couple more days for the PVA to fully harden before I introduce it into my vivarium
