Default What substrate for planting a viv???

what sub can i use for using live plants in a viv, ive got the eco-earth at the moment but that cant be any good as its neutral and contains no nutrients. You cant use fertiliser or potting soil because of the fertilisers init.
Any suggestions???

Orchid compost mate, works a treat in my crestie viv. It's not rammed full of nutrients but seem to be just right for my viv
