You need to somehow confine them with a hot and a cool end.
We did ours with very strong tape and a plastic condensation tray for the top of a fish tank! Ours is split at the centre, with the heatmat in the middle, so both geckos have cold and hot ends. This has worked well for us for a few months now.

Why not use a Herp Haven Breeder Boxes inside the viv in the middle. That will give her space and access top warmth.
