Unhappy Corner viv - HELP!

Hey everyone.

I'm trying to find something that i can make into a nice corner vivarium big enough for a crested gecko.

I'm not into buying ready made vivariums, especially not those all glass exoterra things. Instead i prefer to use an existing bit of furniture and build a viv into it. (My leos live in a book case!)

So, i'm trying to find something maybe 80, 90, 100cm tall, maybe 40-50cm deep, in beech, that fits into a corner. A glass door would also be a bonus!!

I've checked Ikea, Argos, Homebase, B&Q and.....NOTHING!

Any ideas anyone!?

Cheers!

check eBay, you can pick up corner units that already have glass doors on, just need vents and decor.

would you not attempt to make your own from scratch? if you can convert a bookcase i bet you'd do a cracking job customer building one, that way everything is what you wanted?

I know what you're saying mate and i'd love to build one from scratch but the problem is that when i built my leos into the bookcase everything was 90 degree angles. Becasue of that, i just bought some conti-board and had it cut into various squares and rectangles at B&Q! Easy peasey!

With this though i'm going to need some angled cuts which they can't do and I don't have the tools/skill to start doing stuff like that!

Ebay here i come...!

I looked for some corner units to do exactly that when i started thinking about harriets new viv but to be honest they were all very shallow front to back giving hardly any floor space and ultimately would have been more work and fiddling about than making my own, which is what i did in the end.

Go on, give it a go
