Default First effort at a fake rock build

Thanks to the inspiration from you lot, I thought I would have a crack at making one of these for Spikes' new 4x2x2 viv. I think I can post pics on here, we will soon see wont we ha ha. If you think I have done anything wrong or any adjustments are needed, please feel free to comment.

Spike has been sooooo black since he went in, I am presuming this is terratorial???

Thanks. He is a pussycat really. Since been in there he is just acting hard

I used no more nails to glue it all together using cocktail sticks to secure it till glue dried. I then used beige grout as I wanted a desert type of effect. After grouting my ass off for weeks, I painted it with emulsion paints and I sealed it all with copious layers of PVA glue and sand.

I have to say, I am really pleased with it. Poor little chap was in a much smaller viv so now is so happy. He was tiny when I got him but he wasn't kept as he should have been re feeding, heating and lighting so he just GREW once he had everything he needed.

Yes it was polystyrene sheets from Wickes. Yes it was really really messy and my poor hoover nearly had a nervous breakdown. I have another viv of the same dimensions for my corn snake on its way soon. I really dont have the motivation to do the same to that as this one took ages. You know I will when it arrives ha ha. Its like an addiction.
