Homopholis fasciata natural habitat viv

Hi folks, just taken in 2 Homopholis fasciata from a local shop, im ordering a exo terra 30x30x45 for them tomorrow hopefully, and im wondering on how to best setup their new home in regard to substrate and their natural habitat, i understand they are from west africa regions and are semi arid with some humidity required, but should i be thinking forest with plants and forest floor, or savannah grasses/branches etc...

you might get a better response if you ask how to set-up their enclosure in the lizard sub-forum. I know it's weird and it is about the habitat, but I always find you get more advice when you post something about lizards in the lizard sub-forum near the top.

Hi ya
if they are new from a shop I'd keep them on kitchen roll for a min you can keep an eye on any dropped down on the paper poo's mind you these guys love to crap on the viv walls and glass.

Make sure you put in lots of cork bark they love to actually get inside the bark holes so dont have a heartattack when you cant find them the'll be squshed up in the cork bark LOL they are very very good at hiding and blend in to the bark a treat

Very easy species to keep somwhat nippy lil buggers thnk weenie Tokay when held

Coco fibre dried is very good as its natural but no impaction risks not that you need to worry to much these guys rarly miss the food amazing little geckos

Do you know how to sex them Molly only difference I can see on mine is one has yellow belly one cream
