best thermostat?

hi all, i'm building a new viv for my beardie and was wondering if there's a way of controlling the lighting so it dims gradually towards night, rather than suddenly switching off. at the minute i've got a habistat plugged into a timer socket, but i was wondering if there are any better options?

that's what i've got, but that just dims the bulb to control the temperature, surely. i'm talking about at night time. it'd be nice if the bulb slowly dimmed and then switched off, rather than just going from light to dark all of a sudden.

you could do it yourself with a bit of playing about...
Energy saving light bulb comes on at 7pm on a timer
Heat bulb on a timer goes off at 7:30pm
UVB goes off at 7:45pm
Energy saver goes off at 8pm

don't think there's a stat that you can programme, unless you manually turn the dimmer down.
