Default Yacht varnish

Hi buddy

Tried white glue myself on a sample and it was exterior glue but you are right it turns white

I ended up using yacht varnish - satin
Not to bad to be honest it seals well and makes life easy for cleaning

Has a very slight sheen and it seems to be duller every day

Toy test lacquers are made for kids toys and being so they are non toxic and safe to use

Junkers floor lacquer is also quite safe as long as it is a water based one as most water based product are very low in toxics and the good thing is you can get it in a matt finish

Hope this help

You can see my build for yourelf and how the varish turned out

Mike

Hard to say mine has been done a few weeks but has not lighting or doors in it yet

Im sure when they go on it will get worse

Try a water based varnish is should have a lot less odour
just make sure its exterior

Mike

Try it but not sure how you would thin it down as there is not to much that takes it of

Sounds a bit messy to me
