It is possible to do mate but not a great idea.Your movement in bed of a night will stress out the animal you have in the viv and will also depend on what animal you are housing in it as to whether or not it then becomes territorial. Also thing of how you are going to clean the viv out fully etc

For most boas mate that size viv is going to be way to big.You risk the snake becoming aggressive and territorial in that much space. The reason i asked about cleaning is that a viv of that size will mean getting inside it to clean it thoroughly that was all.Yes it is nice to give our animals as much space as possible but other times this can lead to more problems than it solves and also think of the problems you will have heating a viv of that size and keeping it as a stable envioroment.I would personally suggest that if you are going to do this then go for a 2 inch gap between the bed base and the viv and also make 2 vivs rather than one so that you have 2 foot depth instead of 4 foot.

Just my opinion but in my experience with burms and boas they really do much better in smaller enclosures

You would be better off building a bed frame and having a gap that you could put a viv underneath. At least that way you wouldnt keep moving the viv everytime you move in bed. I have thought of a similar idea.
