HELP - New Viv Set up

Hi

Hope someone can help me...

I have just had a corner viv delivered but am unsure of how to attach the basking light (its a lucky reptile thermo socket with reflector).

Will i need to drill through the top of the viv as the instructions advise?

I was hoping I could get some kind of fixture to attach it the roof without drilling holes in the top...

depends how tall your viv is. The best way is to screw in one of those threaded hooks from wilkos/B&Q/Wickes etc, then hang the light using a small length of chain. That way you can alter the height of the lamp if you need to.

Is it a plastic hood? I melted holes in the top of one of mine with a hot metal skewer to take nuts and bolts. Worked quite well.

Got it sorted in the end, went with the threaded thing from wilkos.....

I'm not the best at this kind of stuff so stayed away from the hot metal skewer.....maybe next time though........thanks again.....
