Hey have just done this to house an ever growing collection bought a 10ftx10ft shed of the net for 545 quid which turned out to be a bargin!
we used a small elctric heater first to see what it was like holding the heat and put an empty viv with a thermometer in, the viv held at constant 78F, even during the night.
So we are now about to insulate it by stapling loft insulation to the shed walls and covering with thin sheets of mdf, hopefully with the use of a heater and heat mats all our vivs should hold the correct temps.
But its given us so much more room so was well worth the money hope this helps

you have to be a bit careful with overheating in the summer.

I insulated the walls and roof and lined with chipboard flooring pannels.
I have all viv's raised off the floor and run an air-con unit 24/7.
The air-con keeps an ambient temperature easily all year round and will also cool during the summer.

I have an insulated shed and a insulated garage

I use the thickest skin span - this will save you money in the long run

I use to use electric heaters but god did they eat the electric !!! never again

Best is tubular greenhouse heaters on a thermostat they work a treat, hightly recommend them!! they save so much money
