Hi, I just heard of this thing called reptile carpet. I know nothing about it so if anyone could explain what it is that'd help. Is it used instead of substrate or with etc... ? I am a bit confused bout it.

Its a reptile friendly carpet. Its soft for the repile. You get 2 peice so if you are cleaning one in the washing machine you can have the other one in the viv. The reason why its better than loose substate is that small repiles, such as geckos, have nothing to get in there mouth when they eat. If a repile eats sand then it compacts in there stomach which can lead to them sadly dying.
I use it for my leopard gecko and it works a treat. When it gets wet, it dries up quickly. Im not sure about the poo tho because i have a paper towl down where he does his bussiness so its easier. What are you thinking of using it for? Jamie. |
