Chameleon housing
I am in the process of re-building my chameleon enclosure after tearing it down last year.
This time i have gone for a hydroponic grow tent 2 x 1 x 1 meters, i have racked out the interior to allow 6 small ans 2 larage flexariums.
it is my intention to keep the correct conditions inside the gow tent for panther chameleons and then placing the flexariums inside the grow tent.
While i have an idea what i want to do i am undecided on heating and lighting, I have been looking at the tube style greenhouse heaters. they appear to be very energy effcient and would keep costs down but having only used these one as a back up heater in concearned that it might not get the required temp. a 2 foot heater is 120 watts.
The tent is being kept inside the house so will not have the cold weather to battle with.
Lighting, the way i have racked the interior aloows all the flexeriums to get light from the top and front of each tank without being able to see any other enclosure. I was thinking of installing one high powered light with reflector at the top of the tent which would support all flexariums, obviously there would need to be Uv whihc would have to be delivered in the normal way.
Any thoughs or experiances would be appreciated, this is a work in progress at the moment.
