i use a jigsaw when im cutting them, way easier and safer. stanley knife would be major effort, that plastic is pretty strong stuff!! stanley knives are for cutting carpets lol.

this is a simple case of wrong tool for the job. you wont do that again in a hurry!!

drills into RUB's are easy. start with a small drill bit and work up. if youre drilling anything smaller than 4mm then use the correct bit straight away at a high speed, mark the spot with a centre punch if you want to make it easier. if youre going bigger then pilot hole 3-4mm first, then work up 3-4mm at a time. or use a step drill, simplest way lol.

Hi Jim

I think I could probably live in your workshop, is there anything it doesn't have?

I had to punch a load of air holes into a plastic container today (starting a locust colony).
I heated a fork up on the hob (gas oven), then just pushed into the top.
Works a dream.
