I've tried glue and no more nails and stuff like that with mine... the cups always fall off still though, they last maximum a month. What you need is small squares of wood and drill holes though them large enough to hold the stalk of the fake plants. Then glue to wood onto the viv as it sticks must better and stick the plant stalks in!

We use cable tie 'holders'. They have a sticky pad back.
You stick them to the viv, thread a cable tie through, tie up plant, cut off excess of cable tie and voila!
Much easier for putting up plants and you can be a bit more creative...

As seen here, I can get my plants to go all over the wall.

a similar method, but even more resistant to falling off (those sticky cable tie holders have some pretty serious adhesive on them though!) are eye hooks. they are just round metal "eyes" with a thread on them. you thread them into the wall of the viv, then either cable tie the plant to them or push the plant up through them and the "branches" hook in when you pull them back down. thats how all mine are held up.

My vivs have long vents running arcoss the top of them so I just poke them through that but if they did i would just use my glue gun

May I ask where you get yours from? I'd like to try these but I've not had any luck finding them so far.
