there are plenty of free web hosts and free domain servers such as Dot TK - Renaming The Internet

all you need is a basic HTML understanding and google to google how to embed live video feeds into a page.

simples

also there was an offer for a free web cam in the paper the other day dont know if it has expired or not. but if you have an old eye toy for the PS2 that you dont use, you can find the drivers online to turn it into a webcam, also has a built in mic aswell

well i didn't like the quality of the cam, so I ended up installing my laptop in front of my beardies viv (1.3MP cam) and streaming it to camstreams.com

I saw my beardie doing the weirdest things during those weeks. One specific moment I recall was an empty screen (entire viv was too big to fit onto screen) and suddenly a tail passing from one side to the other.
apparantly daku was climbing sideways along the top of his back wall.

it was truely worth the effort for a beardie!

of course, for frogs it would be rather useless as they just sit still for most of the day...

You can make/get programs that capture only when movement is picked up, and their quite easy to make as my friend made one the other day to see if people go in his room while hes out, smart kid.

Something like iSpy which is free and open source would do the job. Have a look at iSpy - open source motion and sound detection, tracking and alerts looks like a pretty cool alternative to live streaming.
