Default Royal python RUB sizes

In the article on keeping Royal Pythons in PRK November 2009 it states that a 9L RUB is suitable for a Royal of upto 800g and then to use a 33L RUB for snakes over 800g. I have seen that most people use a 33L RUB for adults but what is the general opinion of keeping a Royal in a 9L RUB until it reachs over 800g?

A 4ft adult could be 800g if it was underweight, so it's not a precise guide by any means.
800 g in a 9 litre is squished imo.Might feel comfy for it but when it does a crap it'll be over it...

0-350gr... 4L
351-750... 12L
751-1300... 24.5L
over 1300gr... 33L

thats what i do, but "each to their own"

as already mentioned, 800gr in a 9L is a bit tight !!!
