Default Hi everyone

Hi everyone iv done a post in Habitat Picture of my home made viv for my chinese water dragons, just asking could you have a look at it and comment on it and any suggestions on what else i should put in the viv or if i should take anything out. I want to do something else in there but not sure what as i dont think it looks finished.

all i would probably say is get some digi thermometers them dial ones arnt much cop.

correction ive just seen one should of looked first.

great looking viv mate, would love to know exactly how you did the pool, im thinking of doing something similar with my water monitor viv.

Thanks ... what I did was measure it out and mark how big I wanted it then cut a piece of wood to make the right side and screwed it in to place so it was the right size and shape. Then scrached up the surface of the wood so the tile adhesive would set beter, cut a hole in the bottom of the viv so the drainage plug would fit. Then cut the tiles to size and fitted them on a slight incline so the water would flow towards the plug when emptied, with tile adhesive then grouted it and fitted the plug and sealed it with silicone left it for a few day to set. Tried it out and worked fine no leaks or anything.

thats great thanks, i was thinking of using a moulded pond former for a more natural look, but i think the tiled pool idea would be easier to clean.

I love the tiled pool, I think that's a brilliant idea!

What are the dimensions of the viv?

Thanks yer they do go a bit mad when they are in there and splash about
The size of the viv is 4ftx4ftx2.5ft (HxWxD)
