Default Fixing probes in RUB's.

Hi guys, I've got my corn in a 64ltr RUB, I melted holes in the bottom in the groove bits for the probes, both stat and thermo.

Now the problem is, when I put the corns hide over them, theyr'e pushed down onto the newspaper and it works well...

Now he goes into the hide..

and he also moves them, as the hide is tilted on the probes, he pushes the probes and hide out of the way and it goes haywire, resulting i have to battle them to get them to touch the surface, they often turn and face off the surface by about 2cm...

What I've done so far is blutack the outside of the rub to the wires but that also gets moved.. I've weighted the probes down with a rock, on the actual wire, but thats not working as guess what.. it's been moved!

How can i secure the probes?? I contemplated burning a groove in his hide for them.. but thats not too practicle, plus i dunno if it will work.

How do you fix the probes in your RUBs? Any suggestions welcome! thanks!

i taped the thermostat probe to the heat mat under the tub and just put the thermometer probe in the hide with the hide on the cable so the weight of the hide kept it in place.

you don't want to use any tape inside a snakes viv, if it gets stuck to it then it's not easy to remove.

No tape inside the rub though.. meko beat me to it, but the snake gets stuck to it.. scales get stuck... scales get ripped off in some cases..

sounds like a plan meko except for one thing, my corn goes under the bloody gap where the hide and probe is, and he pushes it.

This morning I woke to the exo hide had been flipped over, the probes had been pushed out of the tank and he was sat in the waterbowl.

My stat is taped to the outside of my other viv, and the probe wont reach up, through and down..

Plus, the only back up RUB i've got is full of snakey stuff and has a huge hole in it from where I mounted a stick.. that stick is now mounted in his current rub.. so nowhere for him to go while the fumes disipate.

the way i do it is drill 2 small holes on the side off the rub and put a cable tie through them put the probe through the loop and tighten the cable tie
